FAQ
Ordering & Availability
How can I request a price for this piece?
Please use the Price Inquiry button under the technical specifications. Customised quotations are also available.
What is the lead time for production and delivery?
Lead times depend on the collection, finish, and delivery location. Core pieces may be available from stock, while customised colours or tailored orders require additional production time. Timelines are defined individually and included with each tailored offer.
Customisation
Can this piece be customised in size, finish, or colour?
Each piece is available in defined material and finish options from the core collection. Additional colours or upholstery variations may be arranged as tailored orders. Dimensions of existing sculptural forms remain fixed.
Do you create bespoke adaptations for projects?
Yes. Beyond the core collection, MAARCORA works as a creative atelier — developing entirely new sculptural pieces and tailored solutions for exceptional projects of any scale.
Materials & Durability
Is this piece suitable for both indoor and outdoor use?
Yes. Thanks to its durable surface coating, this piece is suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. Certain collections are positioned as indoor pieces but can also be placed outdoors.
How does the material age over time?
The structural frame and coatings are designed for long-term endurance. Surfaces remain resistant to weather and environmental stress while holding their original appearance. For added preservation, pieces may be stored or covered during severe weather conditions.
Are finishes UV, frost, or salt-resistant?
Yes. Coatings are resistant to UV, frost, and salt, ensuring durability across diverse climates and environments.
Care & Warranty
What maintenance is recommended?
A light annual cleaning with a soft brush and mild soapy water, followed by rinsing with clean water, helps maintain the surface finish over time. In more demanding environments, cleaning can be carried out as needed.
What warranty does this piece carry?
We provide a 5-year warranty on the structural frame and a 2-year warranty on coatings and finishes. Our pieces are crafted to endure for a lifetime of use.
Where can I download the full warranty terms?
The full warranty, including coverage details and exclusions, can be downloaded directly on each product sheet.
Professional Use
Can this piece be used in public or project-based spaces?
Yes. The collection is built for durability and long-term use. For tailored projects – including restaurants, hotels, private residences, and design-led spaces – we recommend reaching out regarding fabric selections and specific requirements.
Where can I find product technical specifications?
Basic specifications, including dimensions and weight, are available for each piece. A formatted technical sheet can be downloaded directly on the product page.
Bucifal’s life begins in our atelier, in the hands of a sculptor working with dark grey industrial plastiline – the same professional material used in automotive and architectural model-making. This stage alone is a masterpiece of patience: the entire form is built, carved, and refined by hand, millimeter by millimeter, until the proportions hold the right tension between stance, comfort, and sculptural presence. From the beginning, Bucifal sets itself apart as a sculptural chair shaped through true artisanal craftsmanship.
Plastiline allows continuous reworking, and our sculptor uses that to its fullest. Curves are pushed, lines corrected, weight distribution tested, and geometry adjusted again and again. Nothing is fixed until the form feels inevitable – the moment when the chair becomes more than a shape and resolves into a sculpture, establishing its identity as a handcrafted sculptural seating piece within contemporary designer furniture.
Once this ideal plastiline model is achieved, the complexity deepens. The form is translated into fiberglass through a fully manual, multi-stage process that requires trained intuition and technical mastery. Working with basalt fiber at this scale demands precise timing, controlled layering, and an understanding of how the material behaves under tension and compression. These qualities define Bucifal as a basalt fiber chair shaped entirely by hand. Only highly skilled craftsmen can perform this process consistently – and even then, each piece carries subtle variations, the signature of the hands that shaped it.
The top and supporting leg are created as a single continuous body. Achieving this unity requires repeated mould adjustments and structural fine-tuning to ensure stability without excess mass. The height, angle, and suspension point (for the hanging chair option) are calibrated through iterative testing so Bucifal supports any body with balanced neutrality, a hallmark of luxury handcrafted chairs.
The cushion is developed with the same intention. Its internal structure follows the arc of the body, while fabrics are sourced from selected textile houses. Each piece can be tailored, making every Bucifal a unique composition of sculptural form and chosen materiality – a collectible design object created to order.
No industrial shortcut can replicate this process.
No mould can be used without the original hand-sculpted intelligence behind it.
Bucifal (Horse) remains what it begins as:
a fully hand-shaped sculpture, resolved into a chair.
